Marketing and Event Coordinator
Reports to: Festival Director
Casual: May - November 2026
The Role
The Marketing & Event Coordinator plays a key role in delivering campaigns, supporting audience growth, ticket sales and brand presence.
Working within a small, collaborative team, this is a hands-on role across digital, content, partnerships and ticketing. You’ll help bring the festival to life — from early campaign rollout through to live delivery on the ground in Queenscliff.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Coordination

Support ideation and delivery of integrated marketing campaign

Coordinate campaign timelines, assets and rollout across channels

Monitor ticket sales trends and support optimisation
Content Creation

Build and maintain a content calendar for social media and marketing

Write engaging copy and capture, curate & edit high quality imagery and motion for use on socials, EDMs, website and campaigns

Support content capture in the pre-lead and during event mode

Contribute to a consistent, warm and audience-led brand voice
Community Management
-
Monitor social media DMs, comments and mentions, responding or escalating where needed

Actively engage with creators, artists and customers to foster a thriving community
Digital & Website

Maintain and update website content

Assist with digital campaigns (Meta, Google) and asset coordination

Support email marketing campaigns and audience segmentation

Manage execution of printed marketing materials – such as posters, program, flags
Partnerships

Support coordination of assets, content and marketing across key ticketing and media partnerships

Support delivery of marketing outcomes for sponsors and partners
-
Assist with tourism and regional partnerships bringing the destination to life through our channels

Coordinate cross-promotional opportunities and stakeholder deliverables
Content Management

Prepare detailed photography, videography and content creation briefs for key contractors involved in the delivery of the event

Coordinate content capture and unique moments with key festival stakeholders – artists, team, audience.
Reporting & Insights

Track and analyse performance data across campaigns, social and ticketing

Compile and communicate key insights and reports to influence ongoing brand marketing and creative output

Assist in post-campaign and event analysis across ticketing, marketing and partnerships
Festival Delivery (On-Site)

Support on-site marketing execution and audience communications

Assist with signage, branding and info distribution

Coordinate live social coverage and content during the event
Event Planning & Coordination

Support other aspects of event planning, particularly where a consistent brand and marketing tone are required, this may include, communications, signage, merchandise.

Support general event planning and delivery as requested
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Key Skills & Experience

3+ years in marketing, events or communications
-
Strong writing and content creation skills
-
Experience across social media and digital platforms
-
Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong attention to detail and time management
-
A brand advocate with a creative mindset aligned with commercial awareness

Passion for live music, regional events, tourism and community
Desirable
-
Festival or live event experience

Email marketing platform experience

Basic paid media knowledge (Meta/Google)

Canva or Adobe skills
