2016 Queenscliff Music Festival Emerging Artist Grant & Alison McKenzie Scholarship

Recipients Announced

QMF are delighted to announce this year’s recipients of the annual Emerging Artist Grant as Hollie Joyce and Rach Brennan. Each musician will receive funding to record and produce an album and both the winners will perform a slot at the festival.

Also this year, in honour of late QMF Board Member Alison McKenzie, QMF introduces the Alison McKenzie Scholarship, funding professional development activities for two emerging artists. The inaugural recipients of this valuable scholarship are Madeleine Cope & Aidan O Cleirigh.


Emerging Artist Grant

- Grants up to $10,000
- The 6th year of grant funding
- Individuals or groups can submit
- For various types of projects (as per below)
- For 'emerging' artists from the Barwon South West Region

Alison McKenzie Scholarship
- 1 x Scholarship awarded per year for up to $2000
- New Scholarship in honour of late QMF Board member Alison McKenzie - Individuals only
- For professional development projects only
- For 'emerging' artists from the Barwon South West Region

ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED EITHER WAY BY THE END OF AUGUST

 


The grant aims to provide individual/s with the opportunity to enhance their musical career and thus support emerging talent in the regions of Geelong, Barwon South West and the Bellarine Peninsula.
