About the Artist

One of Australian music’s all-time greats, Xavier Rudd has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than 20 years, touching lives worldwide.

Beginning with 2002’s definitive album To Let, fans were immediately drawn to his unique talents as a multi-instrumentalist and his commitment to social and environmental rights. Over the years, his impressive live shows have evolved from full band and trio performances to his current internationally recognised one-man band showcase, the most intricate set-up of his career.

Recently, Xavier released his EP Freedom Sessions, featuring tracks such as “Moments,” “Road Trippin’,” and “World Order”. The EP showcases new levels of complexity in his performances, mesmerising audiences as he seamlessly juggles multiple instruments, intricate live looping and immersive soundscapes. In the past three years, Xavier has also achieved many other significant milestones, including the release of his critically acclaimed tenth studio album Jan Jun Moon, which earned him an Australian APRA Award. He also received the Environmental Music Prize for his song “Stoney Creek,” donating the prize money to four grassroots environmental rights groups. Xavier has performed at major festivals both in Australia and internationally, including the Byron Bay Blues Festival, Glastonbury (UK), Pinkpop (Netherlands), and Rock Werchter (Belgium).
