Damian Callinan is an acclaimed comedian, actor and writer, and a three-time nominee for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Audiences may recognise him from The Newsreader, Skithouse, Backyard Ashes and The Merger — the award-winning film adaptation of his hit solo show.

A prolific live performer, Damian has toured shows including The Lost WW1 Diary, Swing Man, The Wine Bluffs, Mayor for a Day and Double Feature, which won the 2023 Perth Fringe Comedy Award. His latest solo play, Spoons, premiered at the 2026 Melbourne International Comedy Festival to critical acclaim and will tour nationally in 2027.

Damian also creates podcasts, including the cult Bodgy Creek Community Podcast, which earned a silver medal at the Australian Podcast Awards. His latest project, Hall Stories, combines live performance and community storytelling, with Damian set to visit 50 halls across regional Australia by the end of 2026.
