Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird is an alternative rock band from Naarm (Melbourne), known for their uplifting, infectious sound and poetic songwriting. Formed in 2015 by singer-songwriter Lachlan Rose, the band emerged from Fitzroy’s vibrant music scene and quickly gained attention with their debut Queen of Hearts EP, featuring standout tracks "Head Home" and "Soothsayer." Signed to Sydney label Double Drummer, they followed with the acclaimed EP featuring fan favourites "Cool Parties" and "Melbourne Bitter."
Since then, Cousin Tony’s has released four studio albums, earning a reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling indie acts. They have toured the UK and Europe, playing headline shows in London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin, alongside appearances at Live at Leeds and The Great Escape. Renowned for their captivating live performances, the band has also released several live EPs, showcasing the energy and intimacy that have built a devoted fanbase in Australia and overseas.
