Born from the natural beauty of Rainbow Bay and later Byron Bay, Angus Dowling, Jack ‘Cool-Breeze’ Crowther and Dr Elliot ‘Love Wisdom’ O’Reilly have created a sound deeply connected to their surroundings. Blending laid-back surf culture, vintage psychedelia and infectious melodies, Babe Rainbow have carved out a unique world of sun-drenched psych, funk, folk and experimental pop.

The trio’s journey began with humble beginnings, jamming in abandoned shacks before crossing paths with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who helped propel the band forward through support slots and a signing with Flightless Records. Since their 2017 self-titled debut album, Babe Rainbow have built a devoted following around their unmistakable sound and captivating live performances.

Recorded in a warehouse on an old banana farm alongside producer Timon Martin, Slipper imp and shakaerator captures the band’s free-spirited approach to songwriting — embracing spontaneity, experimentation and the joy of making music together. Lead single ‘Like Cleopatra’ delivers an 80s funk-inspired pop groove wrapped in the band’s signature psychedelic warmth.
