Halfway to Forth blend different styles of roots music into their own brand of earthy, home-grown and honest song writing. Brothers Dan & Kyle deliver tight vocal harmonies, banjo driven ballads & toe tapping blues grooves for all ages. They took their band name from the location of their family home, nestled in the hills, surrounded by rich farmland just outside Devonport on the North coast of Tasmania. November 2009 saw their debut release, a 7 track EP entitled "Treasure for Memories". They've played all over the island state and have begun to spread their music northward after a well-received set in a packed out tent at Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2010. The brothers are now living in Adelaide and are looking forward to stretching their musical legs at QMF 2012. Treasure for Memories by Halfway to Forth |
