When is the Festival and what are the Festival operating times?
The Festival is traditionally held on the last weekend in November every year.
The 21st QMF will be held in 2016 on the last FULL weekend in November on the following days:
Friday 24th November 5.00pm - 12:00am
Saturday 25th November 11:00am - 12:00am
Sunday 26th November 11:00am - 5:30pm
Where is the Festival held?
The Festival is held in Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available via this website only (through our Trybooking portal).
Tickets if still available (ie not sold out) will be available at the Festival Box Office from 12pm Friday 27th November.

Will I have to wear a wristband?
Please take your ticket to the Wristband Exchange (located next to Front Gates) when you arrive at the Festival to receive your wristband. All Festival attendees must wear a wristband for entry to the Festival.
What about kids, are they free?
Children under 14 years are free if accompanied by a ticketed adult. Take your children with you when you get wristbanded as they will need a wristband for entry to the Festival.
Youths aged from 14 - 17 years must purchase an Accompanied Youth Ticket and MUST also be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Can I get a refund?
There are no refunds or replacements given for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.
What if I don't want to drive?
I need to bring a carer to assist me, what do I do?
QMF supports Companion Card. Where a cardholder has purchased a QMF festival ticket and carries a valid current Companion Card, we issue a wristband to both the cardholder and the companion. Please take your ticket to the Ticket Exchange Tent when you arrive at the Festival to receive your wristband, and please present your valid Companion Card to our Ticket Exchange Tent volunteers to receive a wristband for your companion at no charge. All Festival attendees must wear a wristband for entry to the Festival.

Can I BYO alcohol?
You are not permitted to bring alcohol into the Festival. To comply with Victoria Liquor Licensing laws, please be aware that bags will be checked by security at the Festival entrance. Only sealed or empty plastic drink bottles can be brought into the site. The Festival has several licensed bars for your drinking pleasure.
What food is on offer?
There is a range of delicious food choices from our Festival food stalls on site and Queenscliff has some fantastic restaurants, takeaways and food outlets.
Is there drinking water available?
Yes, in the interest of your well-being at the event, we provide free drinking water. In compliance with Victorian Liquor Licensing laws we can only allow people to bring in sealed or empty water bottles.
Are the venues undercover?
All venues are undercover other than the Glaneuse Stage and Queenscliff Inn. Program will continue rain, hail or shine.
Is there camping?
Once again, QMF has Camping available on the Queenscliff Sports Reserve Oval.

Can I bring in chairs?
Low beach chairs are permitted however due to the limited capacity of the tents and to benefit of all Festival attendees, there may be standing room only.
You may be requested to stand up by an MC, Security, Safety Wardens or even the artists themselves to allow people into the tent.
There will be a strict no chair policy Friday evening and after 7pm Saturday night. If you are sitting and are asked to stand up, please do not take offence.
This is primarily to allow everyone to view the acts in comfort, under shelter and for the safety of all patrons, including yourself.
Limited grandstand seating (300 seats) available at the Lighthouse Stage - first in best dressed.
Limited tables & chairs available near Glaneuse Stage - first in best dressed.
Street venues are all combination of seating & standing - limited capacities, and first in best dressed!
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not permitted on the Festival site.*

What if I need First Aid?
First Aid will be operated by St John Ambulance on site for the duration of the Festival.
What is the QMF Express?
The QMF Express train is an authentic 19th Century steam train which has artist performances on each carriage. The Train runs on Festival Saturday and Sunday and due to its popularity you need to get there well prior to gain entry. The return trip time is 45 minutes and takes you on a journey past beautiful Swan Bay.

Where can I get a festival program?
Official festival programs are free and issued upon collection of your wristband. If you lose your program there will be more available at the Information Tent and the Merchandise Shop.

Where can I go for general enquiries at the festival?
Visit the Box Office, which is located at the entrance to the festival and speak to one of our friendly volunteers. The Box Office is open during Festival hours and is designed to assist people enjoying the Festival. For general tourist information, visit the accredited Tourist Information Centre in Hesse Street near the Post Office.

Where can I park?
There are no designated car parking areas at the Festival, but Queenscliff is a small town and street parking is usually available (some subject to limitations) just a short walk to the festival site. During the weekend, electronic signs will be maintained and updated with parking availability.
Can I bring a bottle of water?
This Year QMF Will Again Be A Disposable Plastic Water Bottle Free Zone
- We’re asking all festival-goers, crew and artists to bring a re-usable water bottle to the festival
- There are multiple clean water refill stations all around the festival site.
- Barwon Water Hydration Station is near the main stage.
- QMF and our stall holders will not be selling any bottled water
- QMF stainless steel quality re-usable bottles for sale from the Merch Shop.
