DJ Emma Peel is Melbourne's first lady of Go-Go. She hosts weekly radio shindig, Switched On, on PBS FM (106.7FM);which takes listeners on a journey back to the 1960s -1970s to discover sounds from around the world including: Brazilian samba and bossa nova, original rhythm and blues, soul-jazz, Latin boogaloo, Latin jazz and other rare grooves. Between 2001 - 2007 Emma hosted Melbourne's longest running Go-Go club called Blow-Up - a unique monthly event in Australia featuring go-go dancers in cages, bands, psychedelic lighting and suave DJs. Since 2001 she has Dj'd at numerous other events including: The Falls Festival, The Melbourne Fringe Festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the 5.6.7.8.'s Australian Tour and Eddie Palmieri's World Tour. She travels to Europe every year to DJ at prestigious jazz clubs in both Italy and France. When in Melbourne, though, DJ Emma Peel can be found spinning tunes around Melbourne and co-hosting monthly Mod night, Ready Steady Go.
